Employment peril in India E-mail
It is expected that the number of jobseekers in India between 2010 to 71 million increase to India until 2010 so some 150 million jobs will need to create full employment. The growth in unemployment is not distributed equally among the states. Especially in the states Bihar, Rajasthan, UttarPradesh, MadhyaPradesh and Orissa, employment will decrease. Most jobs are in the west and south probably created with a growing internal migration as a result. Reliable figures on unemployment in India are hardly available. In 2007/08, this according to India's Planning Commission 9.1 percent, equivalent to 36 million unemployed.
Only 7 percent of employment is in the organized sector, of which two-thirds back in the public sector. The public sector has to cope with a surplus of workers, so the coming years of this sector is not much to expect a further increase in employment. This figure does not take into account the large group that is not fully working. One expects that group, then some on a number of 80 million unemployed. The desired growth in employment seems best to realize the 'unorganised' sector which is currently 93 percent of India's workforce is employed. Especially in the service sector and to a lesser extent in the agricultural sector is further growth. The government has set up a special National EmploymentGuaranteeScheme that at least for part of the year employment guarantee.

Where there is an alternative but corrupt form of employment, the slums. In slum neighborhoods residents for things they need every day often depending on the underworld. In the aforementioned example Dharavi district residents for their water supply and electricity are often dependent on Goons. These are members of a street in Mumbai mafia operates. People, including children, do everything to work. Children walk to risk falling into the hands of those they exploit. They come in right where they work for low wages dangerous or unhealthy work, whether it be as a child prostitute at work put. Risks are also people who do not work because they are sick or disabled and go begging. These fall into the hands of street gangs who force them to a large part of what they receive alms.
