Traffic Signal
Madhur Bhandarkar, previously Chandni Bar and Page 3 has made, has managed to make a film with a subject that never mention a word about it in Indian films. There is some knowledge, but that this story takes place in real scale, for almost all new and it is this film a real eyeopener.

Traffic Signal is the story of the poor "trafficlight community" that exists in almost every press intersection in Mumbai. The community consists of various people including transvestites, street children, drug addicts and the disabled. Because they have no other way to survive they support each other. Organized begging her and explain it every day in many ways the car drivers something to earn. Each traffic light has its own manager, each region its own collector, and collectors have a boss, Haji, who belongs to the mafia and connections in politics. He ensures that the daily survival activities can, of course at a cost.

Neetu Chandra
Rani (Neetu Chandra) is a young girl from Gujarat who is new at the crossroads where Silsila (Kunal Khemu) is the manager. Silsila, the people who work for him and his family, loves them and gives them a lot, but he takes his work very seriously. This is their first meeting not too much. When Rani Silsila and get to know each other better, they get deeper feelings for each other.

So much for the thriving business traffic. Problems arise when plans are made a fly-over to build on the place where Silsila and its people for many years employed. This is the point where Haji are aids in collaboration with Silsila and collector a "dirty job" late refurbishment, which later turned out to be dirtier than Silsila thought. This is not only he but his entire business and therefore his family in danger ...

Traffic Signal is a new story. The realistic and serious way Traffic Signal has been made and the simple, shabby appearance of the characters is a style that is scarce in these times of bungalows, ferrari's, mini skirts and affaires. What makes the film so interesting is watching people in the same position as us in terms of a beggar. The idea that we are in a car at red light and some change to a beggar, unaware that this good deed only after we provide them are highlighted, is certainly raised by this film. It allows us not only about the facts about poverty, but shows that people often tend to help the poor only if they still look poorer than they are. How bad you're out, the sooner you will be helped. It is not that crazy in the movie disabled ready "even gehandicapter to be so they have more chance of survival.
Kunal Kohli

The film is not all poverty and pathetic. There is a degree of fun in. Rani and Silsila are not the only love story. Moreover, there are some traffic lights next to the two other stories in progress: those of Noorie (Konkona Sen Sharma), a prostitute, and that of Dominic (Ranvir Shorey) who has his own problems. Both are linked to each other. Overall Traffic Signal is a separate and fascinating pieces of film without boredom. I would say watch this film, it is certainly the time and effort worth it.
