The dramatic story of Brother Likha from India E-mail
In India more than 1.1 billion people live. 80% of the population is Hindu, 13% Muslim and 2.5% are Christian. India has no state religion and religious freedom is guaranteed in the Constitution. The national government is in general to freedom of religion, however, the responsibility for maintaining order and following the law lies with the 28 states where the country is divided. The practice shows that the government pass laws which restricted religious freedom does.
This is the case in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in northern India. Preacher Likha lives here and he travels around the province to tell people about Jesus Christ. About his experience he exposed the following:
"Since 1996, I joined the Baptist Church Nyishei Council. After several years I was asked to open a church to live in a small town near the Chinese border, Puchugenko. After dusk was falling, started against the church opponents stones to throw and all slogans to shout. Together with a small number of believers, I was inside. We were not calculated on the opposition. Before we could respond, the extremists go in armed with bicycle chains and they started to save us. They left our wounded behind and warned that we had to leave, we did not they would again come. The whole night we gedankt God that our lives had been spared.

Another time my wife and I were on the way home. We had shared the Gospel in an area where resistance is. It was already dark so we had to stop at a hotel to go to sleep. Just after midnight we were awakened by a loud screaming and gebonk. I knew that danger threatened and, therefore, the door would not open. My wife trembled with fear by the noise and the only way out was through the window. I prayed for help and decided that we had to jump out the window, otherwise we would not survive. It was a jump of nearly 8 meters and it was a miracle that we have nothing to fall on them. We ran as quickly as we could to the police to help out. The police came to the rescue and picked up two men on.

After these men questioned have told us the police that two extremist organizations had sent four men to murder us. The police asked us if we wanted to return, but we saw from it. God had protected us and instead we wanted like the Gospel with the arrested men share. Later we heard that one of these two men to faith, and now regularly visit the church.

I witnessed God's love and protection. His love has saved from any difficult situation and we are so glad that the message of His love to tell non-Christians around us. The circumstances are very frightening, difficult road passable, but as long as I am able to, I do not stop with the dissemination of the message. "
