Investment of 1.5 million E-mail
The IIFA Weekend Amsterdam has more interest than expected. Initiator Amsterdam Partners announces that the movie stars, directors and producers who visited Amsterdam to more than 5 million euros have been spent. The investment by Amsterdam 1.5 million euro is almost entirely used for the payment of partners, such as hotels and locations for events. This follows the investment directly back into the Amsterdam and national economy.

A first estimate of the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions (NBTC) is the weekend that 5000 has attracted more foreign visitors who together accounted for 12,000 hotel nights. This has resulted in 5 million euros in direct spending by visitors to the IIFA Weekend. The NBTC is expected that this amount will double during 2005/2006. Amsterdam Partners also expects an increase in the number of visitors from the other 100 countries where the IIFA Awards broadcast.

The media value of the publicity alone in the Netherlands 10 million euros. Given the amount of positive attention in the foreign media is expected that the total media value over 25 million euro will pass. In addition, represents the worldwide broadcast of the IIFA awards worth 30 million euros. Amsterdam Partners was expecting an income of 22 million euros, excluding the value of the global broadcast.
